Pancho Gonzalez Clinic
Greg Gonzalez, nephew of famous tennis player Pancho Gonzalez, came to NorCal to celebrate Hispanic History Month and promote the sport of tennis to underprivileged kids through his foundation, the Richard Pancho Gonzales Youth Foundation. A pioneer in his time, Pancho Gonzalez broke barriers as one of the first hispanic tennis players to be at the top of the sport. Within 2 years of coming back from serving in the Navy, Pancho Gonzalez won the 1948 United States National Championships, which didn't go well with the country club elite. He later turned pro and became the World’s Professional Champion. He later finished school and used his platform to encourage the youth to finish their education. The foundation was created in 2013 and shares Pancho’s story of passion, perseverance and accomplishment. #hispanichistorymonth #ustanorcal #usta

Rick Barry Dream Court Dedication
A partnership between the USTA and the Nancy Lieberman Charities has lead to several Dream Courts being built. Check out the Dream Court Dedication in Oakland, named after basketball legend Rick Barry. Built for tennis and basketball, this space is made for communities to come together in a safe space, be active and have access to sports these kids otherwise wouldn't have access to. Hear from Nancy Lieberman, Rick Barry and Sergent John Koster themselves and their plan for this great court.

East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring
Tennis Channel commentator and former tennis greats, James Blake and Tracy Austin, came to NorCal in September 2017, to help during a fundraiser for the East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring at Stanford University. Other former tennis players, Stanford tennis players and volunteers also came out to help. For over 30 years, EPATT has allowed underserved East Palo Alto kids to graduate High School, go to college, learn tennis, amid very difficult upbringings. EPATT is made of a few staff members, volunteers, tutors who are mostly Stanford students and a board. Learn more about their amazing work during this video.
